Elliptic curve cryptography

Elliptic-curve cryptography (ECC) is a public-key cryptography method. Compared to something like RSA, ECC usually has much smaller keys.

At some point, NSA started recommending against ECC. ECC is weaker against quantum computers, so maybe they’re being cautious about this.
